So what is in your panniers?

As we were getting organized for today's afterschool training ride, I decided to find out what Mr. Bardos carries around in his bike panniers.  He just happened to have his Carhartt backpack stuffed into a pannier and inside the backpack, of all things one could have in their backpack, were brand new metal hinges and a fresh quart can of Minwax Polycrylic. He was riding home after the ride and apparently needed some new hinges and some fast drying protective top-coat. I wonder what he is up to? Did he need more of a challenge on the ride by carrying around an additional 5+ pounds of random objects?

The rest of us carry much more mundane items like spare tubes, tire levers, mobile phones, and granola bars. I sense a competition brewing here for who can pull the most totally random object out of their under-seat bag or pannier.
