Final Training Ride

We set out on our final training ride on the morning of Saturday, June 16th. Along the way, a friendly rider from Etna doing the same loop in the opposite direction took our first "on the road" photos and emailed them to me later that day. THANKS JOHN!! The first three photos show us on our favorite, newly paved section of Route 10 headed south to Lyme.

One of our favorite rest points -- The Lyme General Store --
a few Dartmouth Class of 1988 alums snapped our photo
Returning north on the River Road--our friendly photographer from Route 10 stopped to take these too!!

THIS WAS THE BEST!!!  A family of kids were giving out lemonade along the River Road. Drinks were free or visitors could donate to a local charity.  They weren't quite ready for such a huge group, but quickly found more cups and drinks for us.  Gail was able to converse with them in French as mom and dad are from Switzerland and France :)

25 MILES TODAY.  Quebec City, HERE WE COME!!!!
