BACK IN THE USA!!!

Sorry it has been a couple of days....can't even remember what it's been at this point, but I know that tomorrow we arrive back at Rivendell and yesterday we crossed back into the States late in the day.

Given today's heat, the first couple of riders took of at 5:30 am this morning while the rest of us were on the road earlier than usual as well.  We are hydrating, putting ice in dishtowels to hold around our necks, down our shirts, you name it...we are trying to cool it!!  We have a third sag wagon able to deliver cold water/ice and snacks to different groups as they ride.  Cheryl (my partner) joined us for the weekend.  She delivered dinner and dessert to a hungry tired crew yesterday.  Boy were we glad we didn't have to cook.  Instead we were able to take a good swim in Lake Memphremagog upon arrival at the campground!!

My guess is that we will rise early again tomorrow to beat the heat and because we are now like horses headed back to the barn...eager to get home to family, friends, pets, cheeseburgers, fishing, and our own beds!!  I would estimate an 11:00 arrival at the Academy for those who can welcome the crew home.

Okay...time to upload a few photos and then hit the road.

AWESOME HAIR, Ladies!!

Nothing like having dinner ready when you get out of the lake after 67 miles of riding!!

Nice biking tan, Wyatt!!

It's getting dark, but still light enough to see the chords to play.

...and maybe a little too dark now.
